Mind&Brain is an International Neuropsychiatric Congress which will be held for the 58th time in Pula, Croatia from May 25th to 27th 2018.

Main themes of the Congress will be bridging between neurology and psychiatry with regard to stroke, epilepsy, headache & pain, multiple sclerosis, movement disorders, alzheimer’s other dementias, personality disorders, bipolar disorders, psychoneurosis, and depression.

We will present NAM (Neuroplasticity Activation Meditating) model as a valuable and practical tool to “Wipeout Burnout”.

Objective: The main intention of NAM presentation is to make sure that all the participants get a simple and most up-to-date understanding of meditating techniques and the logic behind them, based on an ancient Tibetan tradition of cultivating emotional hygiene and mental stability, and the implications of it, followed by 20-minute practical demonstration for everyone.

Abstract: Everybody wants to experience pleasure, be happy and calm. Nobody wants to be disturbed, experience stress, conflicts, and pain. Despite that aspiration, most of the people are not reaching that goal. According to the World Health Organization (WHO), depression and other mental health conditions are on the rise globally. It is estimated that by 2020, depression will be the second-leading cause of work disability and by 2030, it is expected to be the largest contributor to disease burden. Those facts are horrifying.

“Burnout” is a term attributed to all negative mental states, mostly work-related. Burnout is not a thing that we can choose because if it was, nobody would choose to experience “burnout”, and it would not exist. If it is not a thing, then it is a product of different causes and conditions. What are those causes and conditions? and How can we influence them? will be the main questions of our presentation.

But we will not stop at mere explanations and intellectual understanding of “burnout”. We will present and experience NAM (Neuroplasticity Activation Meditating) lasting happiness technology. NAM model is based on ancient Tibetan tradition of cultivating emotional hygiene and mental stability, and it is supported by modern medicine and neuroscience because it is a valuable and practical help for everyday life.
